Here at Furnotel, we’re passionate about manufacturing contract furniture that meets your aesthetic and durability requirements and that is produced using environmentally friendly products and practices wherever possible. We understand the importance of sustainability and see ourselves as an ecologically conscious company. We not only produce sustainable casegoods, but we use eco responsible methods throughout all of our in-house processes too.
We strive to ensure high-quality construction is maintained when crafting well-considered environmentally friendly furniture for our customers, to prolong the product’s life. Subsequently reducing the environmental impacts associated with frequently replacing furniture.
Raw Materials
Our sustainable furniture is mainly constructed from timber-based materials – a naturally biodegradable and recyclable resource.
As governing bodies endorse environmentally responsible management of the world’s forests, Furnotel aspires in its own supply chain pre-qualification to manufacture sustainable furniture, acquiring the majority of our timber and board from registered and approved sources.
Our raw material suppliers are able to provide us with Chain of Custody certification, when required, which confirms the forest of origin authenticity. This is a practice we will always continue to advocate.
Upholstery & Stains
The stains, varnishes, polishes and adhesives that we use minimise dangerous emissions and we endeavour, wherever possible, to select water-based products to produce the most sustainable furniture. A large quantity of the fabrics that we use to upholster headboards and other upholstered elements are fabricated using environmentally friendly yarns such as linen, wool and cotton which are fully biodegradable.
Waste Management & Recycling
To eliminate unnecessary heating and to operate as our primary method of waste disposal within our manufacturing facility, an onsite wood waste burner is used to repurpose waste into heat for the factory alongside working with accredited environmental companies to further recycle the waste we can’t burn.

We are continually educating our employees and consulting with our supply chain on the harmful effects of waste and the benefits of recycling and manufacturing sustainable furniture, to ultimately come together to make a positive contribution to the wellbeing of our planet.
Furnotel endeavours to identify risks to the environment early and implements the most effective solution to address them. Both our office and manufacturing teams are made aware of their environmental impact to ensure they take the necessary steps to be mindful and reduce waste.
